The need for Corporate Organic Dairy Farming in India

In our country, the government has maintained certain guidelines for the proper maintenance of dairy farms but due to negligence from government these guidelines are followed only on papers and no proper attention is paid towards them. The government has strictly directed the following guidelines for dairy:

• The Dairy’s location should be away from main road as it inhales the dust.
• The area should be constructed in such a manner that it does not hinders the flow of water, it should easily flow in gullies and finally to the drainage system.
• Housing area should remain dry.
• The area should be regularly washed & cleaned.
• Place should be free from flies and other flying insects.
• Vessels used for milk storage should be washed daily.
• Proper temperature should be maintained in the storage.
• Animals feed should be nutritious, safe and suitable.
• Infected animals should be kept away from healthy animals.
• The manure and residual food materials shall be heaped away from the animal premises/shed regularly.
• The milkman (person taking out milk)should not be suffering from any diseases particularly cough and cold, should wear clean clothes, should be clean dressed and should look after cleaning his hands.
